First Monday Rides

BikeTheZoo hosts a free community bike ride every first Monday of the month starting April through October. We will meet at PFC around 5:30pm and roll out at 6pm.

We emphasize fun and safety, while spreading the love of riding a bike. If you are looking for family friendly, slow bicycle rides, these are for you! The rides are open to all abilities and ages. You will need a working bike and the ability to ride 8+ miles around the city.

Bike The Zoo rides are for everyone; all ages, all skill levels and every type of bike is welcome. Our slow pace keeps the group safe and gives riders a unique perspective of our own Kalamazoo neighborhoods and trails.

Bike the Zoo exists to see more people riding bikes in Kalamazoo, Michigan. We envision a Kalamazoo community where *every person* age 8-80 has access to safe routes to ride their bikes anywhere they seek to go.

Thank you to 2018 Bike the Zoo sponsors: PFC Grocery and Deli, Vine Neighborhood Association, Kalamazoo Earth Day, Pedal and Discover Kalamazoo.
